#%**!!* Dealer scratched my paint

Took the 06 in for PA inspection and a hand wash. The dodo who washed it scratched the hood while washing. I am really hot. I called the dealer and they said they will take care of it. I sure hope so. I tried some Mequires Scratch-X on it and it won't fix.

Sorry to hear that! I hope they get it all squared away with you. BTW, if I may ask, what Ford dealer was it, and where? I ask, as I am in PA.

YOU LET A DEALER WASH IT !!!
Have you ever seen who does the washing? My local dealer hires sub-contractors to do the work.

If I ever have to take her in for service, I'll be sure to tell those Dodo Birds NOT to wash my baby, or else!

An alternative to possibly making things worse (by those guys), is to take it to a professional detail shop and have that scratch removed the right way. Who knows, they may give that same guy who 'washed' your car at the Dealer a can of Turtle Wax rubbing compound and a shop rag with instructions to go fix it.

Just be cautious, bro.

That's why I don't ever let the dealer wash my car. In fact, no one washes it except for me!

Exactly.
I took mine into the dealer today for the Hesitation TSB and I washed her BEFORE I took her in. She was still a little wet when I dropped her off (Somehow I feel dirty now )
I also reset my computer info when I take her to the dealer. I know IF, how far, how hard and how long they drove it.

Good plan OKC. I have no yet ever had to take it in, but I fully intend to utilize that same procedure as well. I have heard stories of dealers using cars from the shop as test drive vehicles, or even as a learner vehicle to teach a customer to drive stick.

NO THANK YOU!

With my old cars, I always was the one to get behind the wheel and read the odometer statement to them, that way I left them a subtle hint that I was fully aware of how much was on it when I dropped it off. I'm gonna be a bit more proactive with this one though.

And no one but me ever washes my car.
