I called ERL today and found out from a rep that the car I ordered on July 9th was not put into the system until Sept 1st! totally shady. I'm pissed because they've been telling me the whole time that I was in the system, I guess this is why they refused to give me a DORA. Oh well, add me to the long list of C/U.

ERL rep also told me I was partially serialized as of 9/30, does this mean a build date is close?

You get a partial VIN when you go in the system and are clean/unscheduled. This partial vin does not have the last six numbers. You get the full VIN when you're serialized, and that means you're on your way to getting built.

I guess its a double edged sword. You should have forced them to give you your DORA sooner, or pulled the order from them. And they should have ordered it when you ordered your car.

Do you know what priority you got and what allotment your dealer has?

I think I have priority 19. The dealer seems fairly high volume for a NY area Ford dealer, but I'm not sure what the actual allocation is
