Hmm, methinks I should call my dealer... My build week is this week, also...
Everyone else with week 11/08 still getting MyColor? I really don't care either way, I just can't take anymore delays in my order status... :cry:

No, they didn't plan on it. Thats the problem. They planned for 50%, and it was more like 80% wanted it. It is Delphi, however, that can't ramp up quickly enough to meet demand, not ford.

Got it, thanks anyway FrankBullitt. I'm tired, forgive me. LOL The sad thing is that I got that on the GT I just ordered this week. Ahh, that bed is sounding good right now, but this forum has gotten me into a new addiction.

Actually I was just setting here racking my brain, and I remember now that the salesman and I were talking about all the options I was getting (for like the millionth time, lol) and he mentioned that the V6's were going to ditch the MyColor option for a while. He didn't understand why, but said the GT's were safe. At least when I ordered, which was 5 days ago, but who really knows? He better be right.

If I get that call about having a shortage on the MyColorGauges, I'm going to tell them exactly what I told the same salesman when he was trying to get a car already in production with all the specifics I asked for EXCEPT for the standard "Cragar" style rims, I said nope, that won't cut it. oh, and consider yourself lucky if it comes in around new years. That is less than 2 months away with a break for the holidays in there. I would probably guess end of Jan for you

I ordered my 05 Mustang GT (Premium) w/IUP on 10/20, order processed same day. Dealer told me I had a build date of 10/27 which was incorrect as my car was on a TEMP DELAY as of last Friday.
The last thing I heard from someone on another Mustang site that looked up my VIN said it was scheduled to be build but was unable to get a date for me.
Now I find out from this thread that Ford is out of parts for MYCOLOR and due to that customers may have to wait between six months to one year to get their cars if they want MYCOLOR.
What I'm trying to find out is if my car will be affected by this problem, or will I get my car w/ the full IUP package?
I called my dealer yesterday and told him my car was on a delay (he said, no it's being built) and asked about this problem (shortage of IUP/MYCOLOR) and if my car was affected and he said he didn't know, but he would find out and get back to me, and as of today I havn't heard from him.

My dealer told me that if I ordered today that it would be guaranteed that I would recive it within 60 days . . . and when I told him about the MYColor/IUP he said that its not true . . . is he feeding me lines so that I buy from him or what?

I ordered my '05 GT on Nov. 1st, and was told that there was no delay on the IUP for GT's........and I was told the same thing by the sales manager today again. If I have not been issued a 'build date' within the next couple of weeks, I will begin to worry at that time. I have been told by the sales manager that my order will be pulled and have an approx. build date within the next week or so......
