Not sure what that is. Mine says 01 06 05. My build week was 011005 and my build date was 011205.

I think we came to the conclusion that it's the date that the sticker was printed or something like that. Mine says 9-28-04 and my build date was 10-4-04.

It's your blend date. I think that is the date when they get all the parts together to build your car. It is typically a week or so before the build date of your car.

How can I find the real date the car was built on?
My sticker says 11/19/04 and my Birthday is a week later than that.
I wanted to find out if it had the same born on date as me.
Can anyone tell from the Vin #?

I ask my dealer when I picked the car up - the Service Depts. Oasis system will tell them.

Y'all,

Go to BlueOvalForums, register, then go to this thread and visit with a guy named "Kzinti".

http://www.blueovalforums.com/index.php?sh...=2300&p=234405&

He can get all the details of your car's build cycle. He provided this for me:

britblue67 - Here is your information. Hope it helps...
1ZVFT82H055102117

Receipt Date: 6/1/2004
Serialize Date: 6/24/2004
Segment Date: 7/22/2004
Sequence Date: 9/1/2004
Blend Date: 9/3/2004
Produced Date: 9/15/2004
Gate Release Date: 10/4/2004
Ship Date: 10/8/2004
Arrival Date: 10/27/2004
Sold Date: 10/28/2004

My window sticker carried the date of 09/03/04 and I originally thought that was the build date! Not so as was mentioned above - it's the Blend date. Kzinti also supplied the definitions for all these dates as noted below:

Receipt Date: The date that MS&S recorded the order.
When the order is received from the dealers

Serialize Date: The date that MS&S transfers the order to MP&L and the VIN is created.
When the order is received by Material Planning and parts are ordered

Segment Date: The date that MP&L determines which week the order will be built.
When they figure (roughly) that parts will hit the plant to build vehicle

Sequence Date: The date that MP&L determines which day the order will be built.
When they figure the exact day that parts will hit the plant to build vehicle

Blend Date: The date that MP&L determines when the order will be built within the assigned day.
When they figure the order that vehicles will be built. This depends on options and line constraints.

Produced Date: The date that VO finished assembling the vehicle
Your unit has been built!

Gate Release Date: The date that VO transfers the vehicle to Transportation Carriers for shipping.
Your unit has left the building, and is in the hands of the shipper (rail or truck)

Ship Date: The date the vehicle left the Assembly Plant.
Your unit has left the load site, and is on it's way to the dealer

Arrival Date: The date the Dealership received the vehicle.
Your dealer has the unit in hand, doing the dealer prep thingy

Sold Date: The date the Customer picked up the vehicle.
You came in, looked it over, said, "I'll take it!" and signed the papers

Hope this helps! Chris
