Daily Drive a GT500?
Daily Drive a GT500?
Hi all. Back after a couple years hiatus. Sold the ’14 Black GT a couple years ago.
Anyway, I have a chance, a slight chance of getting my hands on a low mileage ’07 GT500. Long story short, does anyone use theirs as a daily? Please don’t laugh. Making room for it means kicking one of the cars out of the garage or outright selling it. Thanks for any feedback.
Short story long: I obtained a ’67 Camaro RS, sort of like winning an elephant in a poker game. Although its presently nice, I’m not willing to dump any more money into it. A fellow on CL has a nice gray ’07 GT500 on CL and is considering trades so I contacted him and said he’s interested. My Camaro for his Mustang.

Hey 14Black,
Can't say with certainty as I've not any experience with a GT-500 but I'd think you'd be just fine. I plan to commute my GT/CS with Kenne Bell daily to Ukiah for work. From where I am in Rosa it'll be just under 3 hours a day in driving. Although the drive to Ukiah is mostly a straight shot.
If you're not attached to the 67 anymore and the 07 is a comparable value to you I'd run with it. There are days where I wish I would have picked up GT-500, but the journey I've had with the GT/CS has been worth it. The end result will be the same.
Cheers and I hope this helps a bit.
