since alot of the commodity issues seem to have been resolved and AAI seems to be up to speed now, any idea how long an order placed now would take to be delivered?

 

They told be 6-8 weeks here in viva las vegas.

 

I ordered 11/8. Still no VIN. Hope to get one by next week so I expect a delivery date of mid-February.

I would think 6-8 week minimum, without a 2 week plant closing over the holidays. This will depend heavily on whether or not your dealer has an allocation.

 

I ordered my 05 on the 15h of November and received a DORA on the 17th. Currently I am over here in Iraq and they told me that my vehicle should be in by the middle of January when I arrived home. However, I emailed my dealer today and they said they still don't have an ETA for the vehicle so they aren't expecting it till the end of January. FORD if you are listening please get my vehicle built for me. I haven't even had the ability to see one in person yet, nevermind drive it but it would still be nice to have it ready for when I got home.

 

I ordered on 11/3 and mine just finished getting built.

When did you find out your build date. My dealer told me that they usually get it two weeks before it gets built.

 

The dealer called me with it on Nov 12th.

Ordered mine on Oct. 26th, built week of Nov 29th, it is now on a convoy carrier, any day now..... It has already made its train ride.

It all depends on your dealership, if they have allocations and what priority they are putting on your order.

 

I went to the dealer on 12/4. gave them deposit on 12/5 print out said priority 10 and just got my build date of 12/15. Assuming my car will be in the factory over the two week holiday and adding another 10 to 12 days for shipping to my dealer I should get my car around 1/18/05. About two weeks earlier then I had planned

i think my dealer is really starting to mess with me i ordered my car 10/25 and i dont nothing to show not even my DORA as of yet i called both my dealer and FORD today to see if anything new now my dealer tells my my car is on MATERIAL hold so then i call FORD and ask to what is on hold and they tell me they dont even see my order i really dont know what to do or whom to talk to FORD cant tell my anything till i have a vin and yet my dealer tells me i wont see my car till late February at the earliest i asked them about there allotment and they are fine. my order was a BLACK GT , IUP, shaker 1000 , Side air bags active theft and Auto.

 

Shadow, ask your dealer "when are you going to place my car order?" Get their response!

 

Ordered 12/2/04....confirmed build date today for 1/24/05....priority 11.

 

Ordered Nov 9, build date 12/13, Phone call from the Dealer today to inform me that ETA is 12/23. I am holding my breath but anticipating the best Xmas present ever.
