The first boo boo is always the worst. I would try what iodom said. I have changed the looks of many alum parts on my motorcycle with very good results.

Polishing compound also gets used by me often (white even more often than red). I finished most of my work on that bike 8 or 9 years ago and prolly still have alum dust in my ears and nose lol.

Tell me about it. One of my wheels was damaged during shipment. Of course Ford sent me a replacement.

I don't intend to be apathetic, but I am sorry to hear that you have those rims on your stang. they just don't look right to me in terms of something that would even be on a mustang, especially the all-new retro stang. Those rims are in no way remnant, in my opinion, to any classic stang. Sorry, to hear that you messed up your rims, but you should consider this an opportunity to upgrade to some different rims
