CPO '06 vs. new '07 GT premium

hi everyone...need advice.
i can get a '06 GT premium, 5400 miles, red/black interior upgrade option, automatice, sirius, Ford CPO for $23K

or

get a new '07 x-plan for about $27,700

Is the '06 CPO worth it?

Does the '07 fix problems that '06 had? anyone have any insight?

thanks much!

I sold my '06 manual deluxe and got my '07 auto premium and I really like it alot better. If the money isn't an issue get the '07.

Also, if you are going to finance, you may be able to get better rates on a new one vs a used one.

I just bought an '06 Ranger and the finance rate was about 3% lower on new then used.

If the '06 has everything you want and like on it, buy it.
There are some things on the '07 I don't like (e.g. tire pressure monitor and missing seat belt holders), but the coolant hose routing looks better.
Is the warranty better on the CPO or the '07?

Thanks all !!

hi all..
thanks for the info...

i was told that the '07 has an improved frame and better strut towers.

i was also told its the same frame as the GT500.

Handling, comfort and ride quality are all better....

Can anyone confirm??

thanks!

I know the 2007s are a little heavier because the frames and strut towers were all beefed up to handle the extra weight of the cast iron engine for the shelby and the frame was beefed up to support the additional weight. I would imagine ride quality is the same 05-07 because the suspension has not changed. I am not sure what the additional weight in numbers is but I would imagine its a minor upgrade.
CHEERS!

thanks nitehawk.
i was told by a great source that he compared the ride quality of the 06 to 07 and the 07 handled better and had a smoother ride.

I had an 06'GT deluxe and a new 07GT Primium.I really can't tell the difference between the two except the 07'GT I have is loaded with all the upgrades. If you like geezer gadgets like heated seats, thats one option you would like on cold mornings. As far as performance my butt dyno can't tell the difference. The MPG is nearly the same at 25.5 hiway and 21 city.My warranty is 50K or 5 years so thats nice.
If you could find a new 06"GT you might find some of low intrest,it may not be the color you want but that could save you up to about $80 a month in your payment.Good luck!
