Courtesy Delivery?

So where does the $350 charge you talked about go? Who is getting that?

The car is owned by his dealer in Texas who is selling it to Scratch. The dealer in California has an agreement with the Texas dealer to handle the delivery for a fee. They will not mark it up any higher as it is not their car and they can't sell it to anyone else.
A lot of businesses handle company cars this way, buying large quantities of cars from one local fleet dealer and then having the cars delivered by Ford to other dealers around the country to be picked up by local reps for company cars.

Wouldn't it be easier to just go to your california dealer and get them to sell it to you at $700 over invoice?
Think about it.. you are getting it for $500 over invoice + $350 shipping & handling = $850. Any deal you can find locally for less is better.

From a salesperson's perspective, if one of my 20 deals was a 500 over mustang(pays roughly $125 bucks, if that, WHY the heck would he bother
I get paid on holdback so it would be about $275 for me, most dealers do not. STILL the time to take car of that, wth?
