Could someone with an 05 take a picture of the rear seat area with both seats folded down? Also a close up of the latch receptor on the rear rear deck? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot that is very helpful. Trying to concider how I could do a trap door like the older mustangs had. Something that would be carpeted. If I have luck over the up coming weeks I will take pictures. Can't start till my car arrives in the next two weeks but can conceptually put together a plan.

Look at your 67-73 Stangs. What you do is put your seat down and a board (carpeted) is secured between the trunk and interior. Looks like you have no back seat. Big storage area. Hate to make a comparision but the Ford EXP around 82 had this arrangement permenately.

That would be cool, put in a trap door, ditch the rear seat and mount the spare tire where the back seat was ala GT350R.

well you could cut two boards and put a hinge that could swing over and still give you a rear seat when you wanted it.
