What are you talking about? Do you have any idea the hoops police have to jump through to do their job? Do you have any idea what they risk to try to make your city, county, or state safe? You're probably upset because you got caught speeding and had to pay a ticket. Well, don't break the law and you won't have any problems.
Actually I haven't had a ticket since I was 18. I have however seen gross abuse of police power in nearly every encounter I have had with them. I'll cite the latest example to keep it short. I was riding with a buddy of mine when we were pulled over and falsely accused of vandalism earlier in the night...police continue to accuse us of this crime (by form of yelling at the top of their lungs at 11:00pm in my neighborhood) and threatened violence when we deny any involvement. One of the officers threatened to and I quote "body slam your @#$ to the *&^%$#^ ground (accompanied by physical gestures...assault) if you keep that smile on your face." and then proceeded to demand the keys to the car to conduct a search (illegal search). Upon finding nothing during this illegal search that was in the least bit incriminating we were told we would be arrested if they saw us out again that night and sent on our way. (on what grounds? who knows...I guess he thought he had the power to place us under house arrest.) So the next day we went to the police station to file a complaint and were told by the smug officer that we must be "exaggerating" and that none of his officers behaved that way. He told us to take a hike and that he would review the tapes from the incident to be sure. So I get a call from this guy two days later....seems the tape is missing...I inform him that there were two patrol cars at the seen and there must be some foul play if they were both "missing"(illegal...state law requires the tapes be kept). To make a long story short...It took threatening a law suit to get investigation started, and only after one cop turned on the other did anything get done. One was suspended for a couple of weeks...big deal. Just to top it all off...the reason the police were sooooo sure we were guilty? The vandals were seen in a white 1990 mustang...the car we were pulled over in?...a red fire 2003 mustang. That’s quality detective work. I have plenty more experiences...maybe should start another thread.

EDIT: I know there are alot of hard working honest officers out there...and I have met a few, but it seems most the one I run into are power hungry guys with a chip on their shoulders.

If the officers don't, then it's entrapment. If the officer is leading, or revs first, or wins, it's entrapment. Entrapment - Being enticed by a law enforcement officer to break a law, without it being a sting operation.
I'm not disputing what you wrote, but I think that's stupid. Basically, it says us humans can't think for ourselves and choose between two simple choices. If the cop's trying to get you to race, and you take off like a madman, you should still be at fault! He didn't hold a loaded gun to your head and make you do it, he simply held a carrot in front of your face and you went for it.

I'd probably race too, and if caught, would just pay the fine. After all, I did in fact break the law, and no one made me do it. We should still be held responsible for our actions.

If a Cop comes up behind you in an unmarked 05 GT (or any unmarked car) and you dont know its a cop and he edges you on from behind and you take the bait and get busted?

Its your own fault........you had a choice at that point in time.
Put your blinker on and hit the right lane or hit the gas and risk it.

When I got caught street racing I shut my mouth and took the mouth trashing and preaching.

I do feel bad for that kid in the vid........but he nows he screwed up.

Be prepared to pay if your gonna play.

IMO

OK, a scenario here. They pull you over for speeding and find pot in your car so they arrest you. What do they do?? Cut off your legs to put you in the back seat of the Stang or radio for a Crown Vic to pick you up and take you to the station?? Stang is impractical for real police work but its good for running down speeders unless your in a C6 Vet that tops out around 185mph.

Another '05 Mustang joins a police force. This GT recently started duty here in Midland Michigan.

Looks just like mine except for the color. And just when I thought...boy the cops sure don't have one like mine.[attachmentid=37809]
