I probably shouldn't say this, but these 'features' really show how dumbed down the general driving public has become. If you need an electronic device to tell you that your fuel is getting dangerously low, or that you have left your turn signal on, or that you need to fasten your seat belt, then perhaps you shouldn't be in control of a potentially life-taking piece of machinery.

Flame away, please.
THANK YOU, I was beginning to think I was the only one who hated all that usless crap. I wish they gave us the option to delete all that crap but still give us power windows and locks and a decent interior with REAL guages.

PS, and a dome light that actually lit up the inside of the car.

check this one out. the turn signal click...click...click... from the flasher you here when it's on, is a sound bite not an accual mechanical noise.

here try this. on your next drive do not put you seat belt on, let the belt minder start chiming. as soon as it does turn on the turn signal. see what happens.

I was driving up the highway on my way home from work with my sirius just blaring.
You have a Sirius Satelite radio...does that have a FM transmitter or is it wired into the stereo? If it's wired in...where did you get it? What model?

I have my iPod mounted in a powerplug flat mount (very cool)...and it transmits my songs on the FM radio...(ok..but not "digital" quality)....I really like picking my own music and I like the satelite option...

I believe there is an addition input (called AUX) on the 1000 stereo, not sure about the 500 or where it is. But you should be able to get it connected to that input spot, the owners manual even mentions changing it to the AUX. input, there is a selection button on the stereo, maybe a RCA plug on the back of the stereo? Leave the wire (RCA to i-pod plug, what ever type connection they have) hidden someplace on the dash or even have it mounted, then plug the i-pod in there. I have seen the back of a 500 on here, but I didn't notice a RCA plug. Just an idea, have never tried it, but I maybe soon. B) There is also a topic on this in the Interior mods page. Shows some ideas.
