Does anyone know how the rear quarter windows operate in the 05 convertible? Are they hooked up to the front windows or do they have separate controls?

Thanks

It's a separate window, why wouldn't it have a separate control? The previous model ragtop had separate controls for the rear windows.

It's a flexible plastic window like those found in tents and it uses snaps to stay in place.

The rear quarter windows are switched seperately from the front. One problem is both rear quarters are switched together. (you can't put one down without the other they both go up and down together)

Not that I've seen an 05 vert in person, but this doesn't sound right. What makes you state this?

Here's what the owner's manual has to say:

Rear Power Windows (Convertible Only)
The rear quarter windows are operated by a single window switch
located at the Driver door window controls. Press and pull the window
switch to open and close the windows.

wow, that is wierd.
Both my 99 vert and 03 vert had two separate switches for the two rear windows.

What does the power window switchplate look like?

I had just rented an 04 ragtop and it had two separate switches for the back windows. I always hit both the switches together, no idea if they were both actually wired together.

If they both go down together, why is that wierd. Your not going to drive around with one open, and one closed. This makes complete sense to me.

I drove the GT vert last weekend and the pic of the ICAP door panel above is the one I posted. When you press the single button, it lowers both rear windows together. There are no other controls for the rear windows, i.e. you can't control them independently and there are no controls in the back seat either.

Bob, I saw your pic on your post and thought it should be on this thread so others can see for themselves. Thanks for posting the vert pics. Mine is scheduled to arrive any day now.
