Convertible owners, quick question
Just wanted to know if there were any tips on putting the boot on when the top is down?
I am sure as the time goes on, I will get better at doing it. I just got fed up today when I was going home from work and just left it off. Its just starting to get nice here in NJ. Top will be down all the time. Thanks for the info

Mine goes on pretty easily actually... And a heck of a lot easier than my friends '04 Vert!
I just lay it out on top (hoping it is not a windy day!) and start to slide each clip down under the trim and it usually slides right into place when I give it a gentle tug back up... I just work my way around...
I usually don't put it on though unless I plan to have it on most of the day... I think I have had mine on a total of about 10 times...

pretty much follow the directions, after a few times it becomes real easy. As Jay says, the only time you use them is if you have it down for the whole day... short trips I just skip it.

Put mine on the garage shelf the day I brought the car home. Never installed it. Car looks great with top down, no boot cover. I remember a few posts about the boot blowing off at high speeds.

Wow, never heard of one blowing off, ouch. The only thing about leaving the boot off all the time is the inside of the top tends to get really dirty from all the dust and stuff. Never hurts every once in a while to vacuum the headliner anyways I suppose.

I usually leave it off too because it's a PIA to get out of the car and put it on.

I never use my boot (in fact, it didn't even come with the car).
Since it looks so much better than the old cars (I had 2 previous 'verts) with the new Z fold, I am probably just happy with that and haven't even thought about it.

I drive just about every day of the year with the top down and have not noticed any debris or dirt getting to the underside of my top. Not even to the top side either. If my top in the down position was collecting gravel or other large bits of debris then my windshield and front end would be suffering some serious damage. I just have to clean some minor dust off about once a week.
