Oh great! Another updated module I will probably end up getting as well. If you could, please explain what programming you do to the top now.
Now, once you wire everything up, you unlock the latches and press the down button 6 times and hold it while the top goes down, then, while down, press the up button 6 times and hold it till it comes back up and that calibrates/programs the module...

I also noticed that it doesn't use as many connections as the first module I had did... Only (if I remember correctly) 2 quick splices and 4 re-wires... A LOT easier to wire up now!

So the new calibration ensures that the motor shuts off when the top is fully up or down, and doesn't run any longer than necessary?

If so, that is exactly what I was waiting for, and I'll be ordering mine today!

Yep, mine works great! I tried it a few more times yesterday and it works just like it is supposed to! The motor runs perfectly both up and down!

Thanks for the info Iceknyght. I have not used my top for ages. I just bet if I used it as much as you guys mine would start having problems too. As it is, since I can't get the car out of what's left of my driveway, the top stays up. Grrrr.

That sucks! Over the summer, I had my top down an average of at least once a day... I am hoping for a mild winter, cause I don't mind driving with the top down and the heater blasting...

I have all the up sides like SoCal without the downsides unless you figure in hurricanes and lovebugs.

Just placed my order for the sequentials, one touch windows, and one touch top.

LOL! The one thing I like about Florida (my best friend lives out there) is that I can come visit him December through February and wear shorts...

Sweet! I LOVE my sequentials! And they were easy to install! I don't have the 1-touch windows, but I do have the 1-touch turn signals, and those are pretty cool... Makes changing lanes *so* much easier...

I installed the one touch today and I'm having a problem trying to "program" it. I followed the instructions press DOWN 6 times then hold until its all the way down and then press UP 6 times and hold til goes all the way up. The top keeps stopping 3 times going down, and 4 times going up, anyone have this problem? I've tried programming like 6 times but i dont want to burn my top motor out.

Hmmm... I didn't have that problem... Are you not able to do all 6 Up's or Down's? I know when I did mine, after I pressed the button like 2-3 times, the top starts to do something... I stopped the first time because of that, but the second time, I just did all 6 presses while the top kinda *jumped* a couple times, like it was starting to go, but once I got to that hold, it worked fine...

If you continue to have problems, call or email Larry at WebElectric and he'll be able to help ya out! He is the one that kept having to put up with all my emails, but he DID help me out!

well i got the UP portion of the programming squared away but still having issues with the DOWN. Maybe I'm not doing it fast enough. I got $hit scared when i tried to program it over and over the top didnt work at all, so i disconnected then reconnected the battery and the motor started working again. I did email Larry and I'm waiting for his response.

Yeah, I pressed mine pretty fast... Not super fast, but I wasn't doing like 'one Misssissippi' either.

Larry will probably get back to you tonight... He's usually pretty good about getting back to people!

I'd say it's about a 3-4 out of 10... You have to do some splicing in the Smart Junction Box which if I can do it, anyone can... LOL! You just need to take your time and have a good light to make sure you get the right wire!

I would rate it a 3, as previously stated make sure you have a good light. The programming part is fairly easy but my switch was giving me a problem, which threw a wrench in the works.

Convertible Top Replacement Wrinkles

I had the top replaced on my 07 GT about a month ago and the driver's side rear just behind the rear window has a definite wrinkle. The work was farmed out from the ford dealer to a local upholsterer and I talked to him after I got it back and he told me the wrinkle would clear up on its own in about a month. Well it has been about a month and I am not noticing a big improvement. He did tell me that if it didn't clear up that I should bring it in to him and he would make it right. Has anyone had any experience with a sitaution like this and was it able to be corrected.
