Would it be possible to put the factory installed supercharger thats on the '03 and '04 svt cobra on the 4.6L in the '05 mustang gt. If so how much hp do you think it would make on the '05????

Im not an expert, but I would expect it to be possible, with some fabricating though, it will problably give you somewhere between 100-150 horses. However, it is problably easier just to wait until the aftermarket makes a kit designed to work with the new engine.

yea i was thinking that too. I found out that the factory installed supercharger on the 03 cobra is an Eaton Roots supercharger. The Kenne Bell Blowzilla looks like it is a much better supercharger anyway.

i'm gonna go ahead and say probably not... the 4v cobra heads i am pretty sure use individual round intake ports for each intake valve... the 3v heads use oval ports... one for each pair of intake valves....

so without a complex adaptor, the s/c's holes wont line up with the 3v heads' holes.

The major companies will make SCers for the GT. They are probably already working on it. It would be easier, safer and maybe cheaper to buy one made for the engine.

Go to http://www.superchargersonline.com for a good source of info for all things forced induction. While they don't have anything for the 05 yet their tech section is very informative. They also have a nice boost / hp calculator thats fun to play with and GENERALLY accurate.
