btw... is that a hand-built car? just wondering, because in this picture
http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tony_gt.r...aca.jpg&.src=ph (click 'Download' to see high-res version)
the parts somehow don't fit (misaligned aluminum, center console and right cover don't match at all, cheap plastics)...
Yes, Keith specifically told me it was a hand built pre-production model.

thanks a lot for the new perspectives, especially from the backseat.
have you sat in the back of the current mustangs? is the '05 more comfortable than the current?
I did sit in the back seat for awhile. I was reasonably comfortable (for a short trip anyway) so long as the front seat was moved up enough. I am 6'2" so what I noticed the most was the curvature of the rear roofline. My head was angled forward a bit.

With it all the way back, I had more room in front than the current car. If I needed to have a passenger in back, it would be easy for me to move it up. When I compared to my car now, it seems as if the distance between the back of the front seat and edge of the rear seat was smaller in the '05. I think the pictures here show that.

f1-cobra's comments on the back seat earlier in this post provides additional perspective.

What is that little cut-out area inside the driver's side of the center console in Tony's pics?

Maybe it is a holder for a remote garage / gate fob? (without the insert in there yet??

you mean this? http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tony_gt.r...4&.dnm=e5c6.jpg
I believe it's just because it's a pre-production model. Isn't that the handbrake you can see there

Ah, I believe you have it, Wombert. I was just reading up on the debate you guys are having over hydrogen fuel. You have peaked my interest, so I am going to do some research in order to generate my own opinion. Cool stuff!

Also, that little hook looking thing sitting in the bottom of the center console is the drivers seat release that someone broke off. The release that goes at the top of the seat.

When I first saw it, I thought it was the key.

Great pics. I really like the ones of the rear.

I hope they really clean up the way the seat folds down and especially the latches. That looked ugly.

I suppose if you're too tall to sit down in the back, you can fold down the seats and laydown, extending into the trunk. Won't have any room for luggage, though.
