Cervinis Tail light conversion?
You mean the Saleen trunk filler piece? No, there's no way that could be used, and have the contours match up, inner lights in the right place, etc.
I'm modding the Cervini's center panel to accommodate the license plate.

I should have photos of the modded panel up sometime this coming week.
I called Project Mustang, They said they are coming out with a Shelby type tail light also, soon around mid April, In a past email, they said they were going to have a no medallion option? I'll have to wait to see this one before I spring for the Cervinis one, and have to do all the work myself?...Just thought I'd post this so other know, vic

Doing this sort of thing on the S197 is more complicated due to the trunk layout, hence probably even more costly..
The section in the middle that has two panels screwed in for the back up LED's,...well there is already water vapor in there.
I've emailed Cervinis to see what they recommend, since even if I remove the two philips screws, those panels wont slide out.

Yeah, I asked Cervinis about things like this, if the led bulbs were serviceable? They asked why would you need to? I said even LED's burn out or go bad in time, they saw no need to make this unit serviceable? and it was a sealed unit, well I guess in your case this wasn't true? I wish I could see their faces when you confront them with this problem! I also asked if they were coming out with a fake gas cap delete...they said why, and then NO! I think I will wait until the Mustang Project people come out with their unit even if it cost a little more, at least they said they would have a fake gas cap delete model, and maybe better built since they have been making units for the older mustangs for a while now. We'll see in two weeks from what they said. Sorry you are having problems with your Cervinis unit..the reason I waited was Cervinis had an attitude problem over the phone and didn't want to answer questions? In my book, it has to look cool, as well as be well made, I want to UPGRADE, not put junk on the car!
Any more news from Mustang Project about their tail light system? I am considering something different for the rear and would like to see what they are going to bring.
I also emailed them today for an update, so there is nothing on their web site.

Not right? I would have to vote that what's shown there looks like total poop...
I actually always liked the '67 Cougar based Shelby tails better than the T-Bird based ones on the '68, but those are just horrifyingly bad. The upsweep in the light mounting angles towards the outer ends just ruins everything there, and the VERY obvious breaks for the inner lights just finishes the deal (people complain about the breaks due to the trunk on the Cervinis product, and they are NOWHERE near as glaring as that.)
