Polyurethane tranny mount
I would maybe check energy suspension or Lethal Performance but I never really heard anything or anyone running one on the newer stangs. Might not even have one available. Did you break yours? Why do you want one?
It might be loose or broken i don't know yet. Going to look at it on Sunday.
Pretty sure there something wrong with t because when I go over bumps there's a banging underneath between my shifter and the center console. Could be just a lose who know but it def has to be the mount.
Already checked the motor mounts and they were fine
I don't think they make them, but a guy on S197Forum told me about the silicone mod --fill the empty space in the middle of the mount with some kind of silicone (I used SecaFlex) to stiffen it up. I did it, but haven't gotten around to installing the modded mount yet.
Thanks dude. Do you have a pic of the modification ?
Honestly I won't know till I get it to the lift and take a look
I just wanted to have something before hand because if that's was the issue it would save time and get her back on the road
Ok, didn't get to it last week, but just did the install last night and the test drives (three) today. I'm not sure if there's any additional NVH. The NVH normally varies day-to-day because of my urethane motor mounts. If there is any new, it's so slight that I'm having a hard time telling whether or not its really there or if its in my head. My wife says she doesnt really feel a difference, NVH-wise.
Where we both feel the difference right away is in the shifting. It is so much tighter now. I used to have big problems with deflection under hard acceleration and shifting because the old mount was SHOT. Like if I hit a big enough bump the shifter **** would start swaying with the transmission (when I still had stock motor mounts too).
Couple things to keep in mind:
-I have urethane motor mounts and shifter bushings, so I already have firm mount points for the drivetrain
-The old trans mount was really worn
- You're best off trying to find a used mount to experiment on, in case modding doesn't go well or you don't like it. Ford doesn't sell the mount by itself, they only sell it with the entire cross-member. A new one will set you back $140.
-There are 4 bolts that hold the transmission crossmember to the chassis, one that holds the transmission to the mount, and 2 that hold the mount to the crossmember. I had to use a torch to persuade the two mount-to-crossmember nuts loose.
- Speaking of torches, since your car is a MY 2008, it may have exhaust hangers that mount to the transmission crossmember. Per TSB 08-23-04:
The TSB was for the wrong crossmember being installed, but advised that while the tech is in there, to remove the exhaust hanger mounts from the crossmember and bend the hanger rods to give ~2" of clearance from the exhaust to the crossmember. If you have trouble bending the hangers, a torch works pretty well there too. I had my car up on jackstands rather than a shop lift, so I didn't have a lot of room to get leverage.
I'm attaching the TSB for reference

Thanks for the follow up and the info I will check it out I'm hoping its just a loose bolt that we may have forgotten to tighten . I have access to a lift so I will check thoroughly

That's a lot of silicone .... bet it stunk a while?
I think the silicone filling will prolong the life of a new or nearly new mount by limiting deflection under load (weight) .....
.... but I doubt it'll do any good on a worn, or rather "shot", .... mount where the rubber has already aged and cracked .... likely the silicone would then be a temp fix at best before it too cracked and gave up.
I wonder though .... how hot polyurethane has to be to be melted and poored or pumped into place? I'd research that if the silicone didn't work. Or maybe cutting a filler of sorts from a block of poly ?
