CDC Stallion Mustang Hood (2005-09) PAINTED
#41
The last thing a bug see's ?
I ended up buying the CDC hood, and cutting it for the old FANG Shaker scoop. I like how it sits, a little further back in the hood than the CDC.

I realize this is an old post, but I just purchased my car Oct 2014.
It was customized by Fang with the fiberglass hood, and a customized base for the Aeroform Shaker. I love the look of the shaker sticking up out of the hood...

I also love the Fang fiberglass hood w/Aeroform shaker and if Fang performance had not gone out of business ? I would've upgraded with their hood without a doubt..
In the meantime, I also noticed that your from Lancaster.. I'm originally from Lockport myself and although I've lived in the steel city of Pittsburgh for the past 30 years, I've always remained a die hard Bills and Sabres fan

I just bought THE last two fang/aeroform hoods a month or so ago, one is for a gt, one for a v6, so that worked out well - didnt get the airbox pieces, will have to mold off of my original one, or just put a CAI in the corner and be done with it. might be down the road a ways, but hope to get them painted this summer for the wifes 07 and the 09-
still highly pissed at scraping paint bubbles off that 4 mile 09 hood... the first two didnt bug me THAT much, but that one and reading about guys with 13/14's going in for hood paint really put me on a mission to rub fords nose in this even worse than before, until I see better... I'm a 'ford guy' at heart, but from what I see at the last three auto shows, they have done nothing regarding sloppy hem work- where EVERY one started corroding from...
anyone that hasnt checked out the auto show pics, theres a few albums in here- check out the hem work and paint on the all new aluminum F150s https://www.flickr.com/photos/83232178@N06/sets/
Fang shoulda hung around... too bad, see theres going to be huge market for mustang hoods as the hidden uglies are coming into full bloom at the ages they are now...and you pretty much cant stop it

got more pics of the side/back too? I see you have the SHR grille fillers too.
I first saw the Fang stuff at the all ohio swap meet in columbus in 06, a guy named Shawn had a black/silver striped one there, fell in love with that hood... really a shame they didnt make it, they had some nice looking stuff- the hood with the 69 spear, mach1 or shaker scoops for the hood, the ducktail spoiler... I had talked to Shawn about hating the look of my quarter windows, he said he had thought about covering them too- had really considered sending them my car to weld the quarter windows over, and do their hood on...
bigger things came up, but glad I waited- got one of the first sets of SHR louvers, absolutely love those too...
anyone know just how many cars Fang completed? I only ever saw one, guy in a local club has it, has their hood with the mach1 style scoop... aside from that one in columbus long ago, was the only other one I'd seen...
I did a stripe similar to yours too- kinda 70 mach1-ish... the striped pony my son made me get that day in Columbus... i was kinda unsure at first, but the kids loved it, and its kinda grown on me

Sorry Guys... Lost the link to this thread... wasn't notified of any replies...

...Fang was dissolved on 2/26/2008... and you can never get the Bills or Sabres out of your blood..

...talked to a salesman at Aeroform. He told me that they still had the molds (Terry DeLong created them when he was co-owner of FANG)...
But would need a large production run before making any more of the hoods.
... That guy Shawn Long was the other owner (with Terry) of FANG Performance. I talked to both Terry and Shawn this past winter.
Terry left (not happily) before my car was built, but said he created the molds for my mods. Shawn told me that FANG modified/customized
a total of 32 cars. My Twister Special was the only one FANG created. The black/silver 05 Mustang was Shawn's car, and was featured at the
2005 SEMA show. Shawn said he still has it, but it needs a little work.
Sorry so long for the reply... here are a few of the sides and the rear. Added a few extras too...
