Okay, I got my JLT II and Bamachips tune in today. Of course, the car freaking flies now!!! And as I was out do some...er...spirited driving, I managed to get the car to kill all power to my injectors and throw 10 codes all at the same time. I also got the dreaded P2106 code, which is why I'm posting here. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif[/img]
Let me walk you through this:
I install JLTII and tune, then disconnect negative terminal for about five minues. Everything starts up (sounds awesome!!!) and I pull out to "test" the butt dyno. Head about five miles up the road to GW parkway and so far so good, couple of sprints along the way, no problem...actually, the car drives like a different car, such quick response (Thanks Doug). Now I get to the parkway and jam on it! I go for WOT, and with the new tune I notice it runs near...possibly into redline territory? Then...BAMMO...no power! I push the gas...NOTHING. My wrench light comes on, then CEL. I'm cruising dead at about 50 and I muscle the wheel over into a side lane. Turn off the car, and restar, all good except for CEL. I try again, get up to speed and go WOT...SAME THING.
SO...I'm shaking a little as I hookup the XCal 2 and run the codes...surprise 10 codes (8 of which are the injectors going off line) and I also get P0446 and of course...P2106 [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/chairshot.gif[/img]
So Anyone got any ideas?
I'm runnign Doug's 87 performance BTW (cause guess what, gas is [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/censored.gif[/img] expensive!!
I've got a message into Doug, but while I wait, this makes for good discussion.
