Can some explain 'optional parameters' on X2

Can someone explain what the 'optional parameters' are on the X2?

Things like WOT, air/fuel, rev limit, idle speed, i forgot some of them....

How do i adjust these things for optimal performance?

Btw, I already have tunes from Doug in there so is it best to just leave the

parameters alone? I wanna squeeze the most out of this thing :P TIA

If you have the tunes from Doug, then leave that stuff alone unless there is a reason to change it.

Yeah, I also have tunes from doug, but the only things I would think about changing would be the axle ratio if I change it (I haven't), the tire size (mine aren't stock size) or the timing. I get some knocking using the 91 tunes above 4000 rpm, so I've retarded the timing on the tune to try to get rid of it. But other than that, unless you're really familiar with all of it, and have a dyno and wide-band 02 sensor to test with, I wouldn't do anything else.

And if you were to get it dyno-tweaked, they'd probably write you a new tune file to install without needing any further changes anyway.

Most of the options are for use like during a dyno session. You can tweek little things here and there, then send it back to Doug and have a final tune written. You really don't want to start playing with spark and AFR without being hooked up to a wideband o2 sensor.

yes, Mr. Clean, that is the thread, very interesting.

I called a local tuner to see about it, but he said he would basically just make a new tune and not mess w/ the other ones.

This is not a knock on Doug, of course, he is great and i enjoy his torque tune.

You can go to www.brenspeed.com and view their info on the X2 and it's features.

Please visit this site. Read it all.

http://www.sctflash.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3177

You, me and about 20,000 other owners would like to know also, but SCT is not, at this time, willing to release that information.

There must be some website available somewhere that will explain these different parameters and how to use them. It doesnt make any difference whose tuning device it is, just need technical info on what happens when parameters are changed.

I am more interested in tuning the automatic transmission for best performance.

If you find something let me know. Dont hold your breath waiting on SCT.
