Can I sell my tuner after I used it?

Hey guys so I don't need my tuner I bought from AM anymore. Can I sell this tuner so someone else can take advantage of it?

Yep of course you will want to get your stock tune out of it, that is if its still in there.

Did you set the car back to stock before selling it? If it is an SCT then it is still "married" to your old car so the buyer will have to send it back to SCT to get it unlocked (for a charge of $150) so the price will depend upon whether it is married to your old car or not.

If you set the old car back to stock then the SCT is unmarried from your car and can be used on another car. Of course the tunes themselves won't be usable unless the buyer has a car with the exact same computer code, so they will have to buy new tunes to be loaded to the car.

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately I did not set my car back to stock.

An example of why I wouldn't use "custom tunes" for a otherwise stock or very nearly stock car / truck unless I was going to just leave them with it when trading / selling.

Best bet to sell it (or to just give it to them) is find the owner who now owns that car.... I'm sure they'd appreciate the opportunity to have stock and other tunes available .... if they know it's not there now.

Find out whom your car was sold to and either make arrangements to sell the tuner or just include it with the car so the new owner can decide as to whether or not they want to return it back to stock !

I will have to try and find them. I'd just give it to them but who knows if I can even find the owner. I traded it in at a dealer.

All you have to do Brandon is contact your dealer and let them know the new owner needs your tuner..

They can either provide you with the new owner's phone number or the dealer can contact them directly..
