I was looking online at vynal racing stripes, and I was thinking about putting two 4in. stripes on, with a 2 in. gap between them. Here is what it would look like (photoshopped with accurate measurements and porportions). Do yall think this looks good, and is putting on the stripes an easy thing to do?

ps: do people put the stripes on their roof also? i think they do...not sure tho

Yeah, i cant have to much width becasue of the scoop and the tapering on the hood...the narrowest space is 11.5 inches, so 4 in stripes with a 2 in gap takes up 10 inches...i dont think i could do too much bigger

I'd say they're a little thin and should also go over the scoop.

Definately need to go over the scoop and I think the 8" stripes from ford look to thin so the 4" stripes are way to thin. If you want to save some money use vinyl on all the other parts of the car but get the hood painted. They can paint the hood scoop as well so even though it tapers it might look good. Have someone do a photochop and see.

You might try a single wide stripe.

even fi you made the stripes a little thicker without changing the width of the gap would look better I think, but yes do put them over the scoop also.

That is an unusual body kit you have on your 2005 Mustang.

I'd also say that the stripes need to be wider, I'd think 8-10 inches is probably around where you'd like to be. And also I think you'd want to have and inch or so off the end of the hood scoop, meaning the entire scoop is striped, and goes past the side edges of the scoop onto the hood.

Also, check out My Gallery below to get another idea on stripes for your car. To date I've only seen 3 other cars (one yellow and black like mine, another white w/ black - I think there was another yellow and black) with the same stripe I have and I've had them for about 3 1/2 years. Different, but I think they are nice.
