Cam Cover Decals
Sorry to start another thread on this, but I was hoping to get these made soon and wanted some input from you all. The decals will be printed at 400 degrees on a brushed aluminum-look mylar at a local sign shop for about $10 apiece. Also how big should I make them? These are what I came up with:

These were submitted elsewhere by Thunder Road. Sorry, Mr. Road, but I didn't know how to link to them, and thought they deserved including so people would have a variety to offer opinions on. Thanks for your creativity!

Very nice, Redbullet. Leaves plenty of chrome showing for a little bling, but has a retro look to it. Nice contrast to the Ford blue covers, too. Thanks for the size reference as well. No problems with heat, I assume?

The decal also has a clear cover to protect the colors when cleaning engine.

I got a set of shelby decals from mustangunlimited. They are wet transfer decals and did fine. Not to over stated and goes well with my shelby tribute.

I put one on one side and so forth.

I describe my experience here http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...=27188&page=31
in post #611 and on the next page, post #622. It depends on how patient and flexible you are, whether it's worth it or not. Now that it's over, I say yes, but if you had asked me while I was doing it, I would have used 4-letter words.

Not that bad, I disconnected a bunch of wires to make it easier. Just label them as you go. I am well impressed on the look a can of paint made to them.
If yours is a daily driver, I would recommend spending the bucks for the powder coated....mine is driven on weekends so not really needed.

This is what I ended up with, roughly based on the 427 fender emblem from a Cobra. Only $5 apiece from Graphics-n-Motion, a local sign shop, and the brushed aluminum look is great! I know it's still dirty, but I'm working on it.
