This week, starting tommorow Wed Oct 27 through Sun Oct 31 the California Auto Show is at the Anaheim Convention Center. Radio advertisments that I have heard cast the 05 Saleen as the star of the show. May be worth checkin out!

I wonder if the Saleen Dealers will have information on the car this week.

 

I talked to Shawn in sales at Saleen today. As Saleen had indicated for some time now, the new Saleen Mustang will be formally introduced at the California International Auto Show in Anaheim. The show starts 10/27 at 4:30 PM.

Saleen is faxing info to their Dealers today. MSRP for the base car will be $39,043. Horsepower on the base car is 325.

 

Plus a 10K "Market Adjustment"!

 

I heard a rumor remember it's just a rumor that the top model will be close to 500HP, hopefully it'll turn out true and (crossing fingers) they'll have some come June so I can snap one up. I will be at the show on thursday and will take some pics and post em here ASAP!

 

$39K and 325 hp? So its $14,000 extra for only 25 hp? I know there are other add ons and such, but that doesn't seem like much extra horses for the money. For that price I would of hoped for at least 350 hp.

 

Quick tidbit, went by Saleen this Saturday, to try to sneak a pic of some 05's, and the 05 Saleen drove out of the building, around and back in. Don't even start with the no pics stuff, because I didn't expect that, and by the time it drove by, the camera had just turned on. an older Sony model. But anyways it was probably moving at about 10 to 15 miles per hour, and sounded meaner than anything i've heard in awhile. Get ready........

Remember this is the base car. There will be a supercharged version after the first of the year and at some point a supercharged "extreme" version.

 

$14K for 25HP just isn't that good. Now 75hp or 125hp is more reasonable. That's a lot of bounty for some body work, stiffer springs and an exhaust. (IMHO).

 

Exactly, even if its the base $14000 for it is too much to ask ... I wonder if any of the other SEMA cars will show up at this show ... though the saleen will go to SEMA right afterward for sure ...
