Thumbs up

ok...im in the fairfield/vacaville/vallejo area of CA in the bay kinda...and i hate the following dealers due to them being asses:

- Ford of Fairfield AKA Green Valley Ford
- Wilson Cornelius Ford
- Vacaville Ford
- Roseville Future Ford

all of them wanted me to do a stupid credit check before test driving a 05 v6 or gt and even a stupid WRX so i told them to screw off and i left... gave em BS and told them i was on my lunch break from work..ive brought my credit reports before and i have a 740+ and they wanted to run their own so i left... im sick of dealers that treat their customers/potential customers with such disrespect...too much for me to go on... so i need to know whos a good dealer and who's dealin' on x-plans....

Go to Penninsula Ford in Palo Alto they are great and dont have any mark ups they even gave me TWO tanks of gas and a free detail . . . they were really great and didnt pressure me into anything I didnt want. . . a little bit of a drive for you but well worth it!

Go to Manteca Ford, the don't spend all their money on the facility but they are good people. Phil Waterford is the owner and I bought mine from his son Phil Jr. Both are great people.
Good Luck

I thought you said you were in Fairfield area? If you need some GPS I can help with that............you're only 45-50 miles away.

im still seriously debating if i even want to get an 05 or wait to order an 06...but im seriously researching into buying a subaru 2.5RS 99-01 as a daily driver for now since i need something reliable and they still hold their value and hard to find..so im sure to get a nice chunk of change when i sell it...its just that alot of the little probs are bugging me about the 05s...rear end probs, engine, already needing new ecu flashes..i mean wtf? if u do so much testing for a couple of years before u release the car, dont u think ud be able to address these issues WAY before hand??

I live in Truckee and was kinda curious about some of the Central Valley dealerships, or maybe Reno. I would like to pay MSRP(ish) for a Black Deluxe V6 with Int. upgrade package and ABS (MSRP was ~22), wonder if I could get that at any dealerships around me...bah

When I got my 05 at Fremont Ford, the salesman (a good guy) called me to warn me that Sales Management wanted more for the car. I got an invoice+2% deal, and they wanted MSRP+++. When I went to pick the car up, they tried to Shanghai me.

I ended up forcefully telling them they should keep their deal, and I got the car at the original deal price.

One week later my salesman was no longer employed there. The dealer denies firing him, but the salesman never returned my calls to his personal cell phone, so I believe he was fired for selling me the car at the price he did.

My recommendation is STAY AWAY from Fremont Ford. Or, if you do go there, be hardline and don't take any bull.

I want to second what M1 says. A buddy of mine got the shaft there, and I got the runaround when I tried to order my GT there on X-plan. I would steer clear. BTW, this dealership is also known as Magnussen Ford.

I ended up ordering on X-plan from John in the fleet dept. at Towne Ford in Redwood City (about 25-30 miles south of SF). Nice guy and so far no BS.

Hope this helps.
