A/C switch panel fault

Hi, I have an intermittent fault with the lower switch for the A/C. Sometimes it just goes out on it's own, sometimes does not come on when I start the car. It will go to on after it switches itself off, if I flick my finger onto it a few times, bloody annoying and I do not know how to take it apart, probably a lazy or dry joint ?? Any body here conversant with this particular problem, I could use some help as there is no one here local in NZ that is ken to tackle this. Cheers PG

http://iihs.net/fsm/?d=0 Here's the service manual.

You might have to have the HVAC system checked for codes. If you think it's the switch maybe you can remove the panel and check the switch with an OHM meter for continuity.

Try YouTube for a video on how to pull the dash panel apart. I saw several videos on there last year when I was looking to change the blower resistor on mine. It doesn't seem to be very hard to do. Good luck.
