Those came a bit later. My 81 T-bird has the same 302 V8 as the 79 Cobra (120-130 hp 302 V8 with 2-bbl carb) and has 4-bolt wheels. Yuck.

My S197 GT is a HUGE improvement over the crap Ford used to make.

* How much hotter does your car get in the summer? (My 1 week old stock AC is not cold enough for me when it's 100 degs outside... I get hot when it's over 65-68 degrees when I'm driving)
* Do you how much more it weighs and if it's not as strong (in crashes/rolling/etc)?

And... if someone comes out with a glassback that somehow magically retracts (I can't imagine where it'd retract to or how it would even be physically possible)... then all the previous concerns are out the window and I want it at any cost.
• It was $2700.00 + tax installed. I took it to my dealer and they took it to Webasto for the install, that way I got the dealer warrantee.

• It's difficult to tell how different the temperature is in the summer because I bought it back in the fall of last year. It is brighter when driving during daylight hours and a cap or hat is recommended. My air conditioning works great so I don't have any temperature problems.

• I'm sure it did add some weight but I don't know how much. My car doesn't go to the track or do any type of racing, it's a weekend driver. I'm not going to roll my car anytime soon (I hope) so it's not a concern to me.

• That would be the next step, to somehow make it retractable or have a moonroof type of cover that pulls out to block the sun when you don't want any sun coming in.

• The GlassBack makes the car very unique because not a lot of people have the guts to make the purchase and I love mine!

I found the pic at this site...looks like excellent quality...but I personally don't care for the look...

I've heard Webasto makes very good sunroofs (as far as most don't leak or have any other problems).

I also want to say that I wish Ford would offer it as an option. JMO.

There are some cars that you dont put sunroofs on....
Corvettes
Mustangs
Camaro
Firebird
Chevelle

These cars all look good with convertible tops though.

I love T-Tops, really wish they were still available.

Sunroof on the other hand... not so much.

Not everybody buys a Mustang as a muscle car. For those that have a little work or weekend driver, a sunroof might be a great option.

Personally I'm a fan of both sunroofs and T-tops but I don't know about either on the current gen Mustangs. I just don't think it would flow all that well personally.

But man, there sure is alot of T-top hate. I'm not a fan of the II's but doesn't anybody else like the foxes with the T's? The one on the cover of October's Modified Mustangs is absolutely gorgeous.

I love it. Would definatley choose one if it were an option....only bad thing....cant really put lemans stripes on the car.

Back in the day, LeMans stripping was only applied to the hood and rear deck areas especially on the late 60's - early 70's GM models such as the Chevelle and Camaro..

Therefore you could always apply the LeMans stripping on a late model Mustang which has a sunroof in the same way
