You're actually on fire. Or this could be your tires.

I smelled it for the first couple of days after getting mine too. I chalked it up to everything being pretty new. It went away after about 100 miles.

It's usually normal for the first few hundred miles. The possibility exists there might be something wrong. If you aren't sure call the dealer.

It's been my experience that the undercoating definitely causes that smell and it definitely took several hundred miles for it to go away on my girlfriend's '05 Toyota.

What type of undercoating did you get? Just curious as to what was used.

My car smelled like that for a week. We determined on the board that the smell was pretty normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

At 600 miles I still have the smell of something burning. Smells of melting plastic. Not too strong, but noticeable at times.

My '05 has 3800 miles on it, and the last couple months it has been smelling like burning cigarettes. It started out only smelling a little, and then sometimes it would not smell at all.

Now it smells all the time, and the smell is so strong that you can smell it 20 feet away with the windows open.

Nobody has ever smoked in the car. My wife and I are non-smokers. It did not smell like this in February during a road trip.

It only started happening, I think, after one time when the battery went dead with no explaination.

Update: Something wrong with the A/C compressor - freon leaking (not sure how this got into the cabin, but I'll keep a nostril flared for any further smell). Compressor replaced, system recharged, interior deodorized, and car is ready for pickup today...

I've read a slight burning smell is normal up to 1,000 miles. Just as long as it doesnt smell like burning oil.
