ELLO!A BULLITT mustang would be sweet! but a BOSS mustang would be even sweeter... But there is also some problems on using the BOSS moniker

I'm just telling you what I read about the last car. I know that he was in the Ford commerical, but once it was over, have you seen him in anything else with Ford? Have you? I'll answer that for you, No. Again that was a one and done thing, with his likeness. They don't want to overexpose his image, and profit from his passing (albeit 25 years ago). They pick and choose when to license his likeness. The only thing I have seen his image in was for the Absolute commercials, as the Absolute Man. Heck, even the diecast model that Autoart had made of the Bullitt car from the movie, no longer comes with the special box, with pics from the movie (and of Steve) and the car doesn't even have the JJZ 109 license plate. It isn't even marketed at the Bullitt car, as Autoart didin't get the licensing to continue to sell the model as the "Bullitt Car". It's now just called a 1968 Mustang GT 390 in dark green.
Well, if you think that they are waiting for the "hips', that may be a LONG TIME. Hop on over to Automotive news. They too have listed what has been discussed in the 2009 forum, about the car not looking anything like the current car. If that is the case, you can kiss those hips goodby, as they may be going more modern with the redesign.

I did not know that, I kept reading otherwise... Well, shall I reccomend something in the way of BOSS 302 or BOSS 289 (maybe BOSS 5.0?)... maybe even just BOSS

Booyaka

Oh and just because the 09/10 car is redesigned...and 'not as retro'
doesn't it mean it won't have signature cues and mustang dna (ala hips, side scallops etc)
What is retro to one, isn't to another.
Like my old sig said:
"Its not retro, its what a mustang SHOULD look like"
Just seems that in past years, mustangs kinda got a bit away from their heritage a bit (foxes) and has trickled back slowly

All Ford has to do is bring back the DHG, a n/a 5.4, and a 6-spd trans.
They could always use Ivy Green from 65/66. Especially since the S197 mimmicks that bodystyle more anyway.
One of my favorite early Mustangs was the '66 GT350S. It was painted Ivy Green with white stripes and is probaly the rarest Mustang ever. (1 of 1) I would have loved to have been able to copy that car with an '05.

I bought my car at Serramonte Ford, not in SF but in Colma ... close enough .. My old 99 was close enough to DHG, although I think they might have called it something else. Color code was "FU"
I have been debating for the longest on if I should paint my legend lime. Had to get the L L being that green is my favorite color. Knowing a guy who runs a Ford body shop might just make all this possible. I'll keep you all posted.
