BULLITT Tease
I don't what it is exactly but I really love the look of car without the rear spoiler, seems more clean or something like that, I guess I will order the spoiler delete when the time comes

Naw. That would make too much sense.
Maybe thats what they'll call it to get outta paying rights/royalties
"its not BULLITT it's BULLET...pffff go sue elsewhere...."

Depending on what it had in it.... I'd trade up... if I could

As Tony said, it is the Motor Trend photo shoot car. It was painted by Ford just for their story, it was originally Screaming Yellow. The current owner of the car went thru A LOT of hoops to get it. As for the pictures, they are from the 2006 Bullitt Nationals event held last weekend in San Francisco, those who want to see more photos can find them at www.imboc.com.
As for the "tease". Sorry Folks, there WILL NOT be another Bullitt.
To many issues for Ford to revist this project again.
Regarding the color DHG, the paint code "PY" for Dark Highland Green is Bullitt specific, and per the agreement with the McQueen Estate is not to be used on another Mustang again.
Of course, this does not mean that Ford won't simply change the paint code or call the color by a different name.

I never believe any of this 'one time stuff' because money talks...
Don't care what was said or what was written... you get enough greenbacks in someones face...they will change their tune
It WOULD be cheaper to go with a BOSS I guess money wise if theres a lot of red tape and lawyer crap involved... but the bullitt suits this car better than the last one... and I LOVE the 01

I only reason that I believe this, is that Chad McQueen, Steve's son is very careful not to license out his late father's likeness too much (even though in this case, it fits perfectly). I understand money talks, but in this case, he just doesn't want to make money by using his father in the process.
From what I've been told, I believe originally a $1500 premium per car was going to be charged just for the licensing. It was eventually reduced to somewhere in the $150-$200 range. The original license would have killed the business case for the car.

Kind of off topic, but I read in (i think) Mustang Monthly about why Ford called the new GT-H the GT-H and not GT350H. It said they reserved that name for a "future car"
Motor Trend in the Shelby GT-H article mentioned that about the GT350 being resevered, and how they were wary of using the Shelby name and mixing people up with the GT500
Aparently people are stupid

Thank you the Ford Motor Company!
