I'm not an expert....but you should have a Vin # if you have a "scheduled" status. Check with Kevin or BEK on that.

I got my VIN a few weeks ago. Just the other day I got a PSP(whatever that is), but dealer says that my car is due off the assmebly line on Sept 20th.

I ordered mine just after order banks opened. Received my full VIN (....103745) 2 weeks after order and received my build date today. My dealer said my build date is Sept. 20th, and that I should see it 3-4 weeks after that. No pricing yet, but will call me as soon as he knows. Just last week when I called him about status, it was still in Hold or something like that, I forget. He talked with his Ford rep and she told him that all will be receiving 2 GT's prior to any orders. One step closer GT Legend Lime Green

Spoke to Sales today and this is all I got, DORA#7020, Partial Vin#-VHT82V5

What is DORA? Dealer Order R? A?, ? :scratch: Is there any rank to the #?

T82 is GT Prem, I believe. Anyone know what the VH and V5 stand for?

Sales says Dealer will only get 7 thru end of 04, mine is #6

Anyway, I'm going in tomorrow to place my order for a Mustang GT Premium. I think I'll go with Mineral Grey, Parchment interior.

Did anyone have any room for negotiation? Clue me in.

My dealer said he wasn't too sure where they will be with pricing. He told me that he would be fair though-whatever that means. I really don't care actually. He hasn't required a down payment and told me that when he receives the car and has pricing, we can discuss all that and test drive. If we don't like it, we don't have to take it. This dealer turns quite a few cars and he wasn't worried about being stuck with it.

 

Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. Your dealer should have told you the priorty number mine for example is 12 and the highest you can have is 10 so there you go. VH is should stand for where the car is being built at AAI.

It all depends on the Dealer. I have a signed agreement from the Dealer stating $500.00 over Dealer Invoice. Most of the larger Dealers will not agree to that though.

 

Just got off the phone with my dealer, he said that my car has a scheduled build date of 9/20/04

I didn't think they were ever going to put my order, I ordered it back on may 27th

The 20th is a monday, hopefully that doesn't mean too much...I see people on here say that a friday build date is not so good, ol well...at least it will be built

 

My build date is the week of 9/20, with an arrival in mid-Oct. I can't wait.

 

VIN #799 with a build date the week of Sept. 6.
