I had the squeeking problem. Took it into Ford and they replaced the Rear brake pads with a updated part # and it has been perfect since then. It's been about a month so far...

I read that bedding-in article, and it made sense, but I just drove my '05 normally in regard to the brakes and have experienced no noise whatsoever to this point. I only have 750 miles on the car, but the original poster said the noise was there from Day 1, so I would think there's something wrong. I'd bring it back to the dealer and let them replace the pads or do whatever they think will stop the noise problem.

THis problem usually doesn't show up till about 1,300 to 1,500 miles into ownership. I had no issues till that point. Now, the backs are squeeling. The squeel generally presents itself under normal, regular braking. Let up a little or go a little harder and it'll subside.

Quite annoying.

Had major squeeking. I replaced my front pads with ceramics. Now just have the rear squeeking. I'll let the dealer look at it.
