I've got over 17,000 on my '05 GT. My brakes have started squealing when I am slowing down. It's really annoying. Took the car to my purchasing dealership 2-3 weeks ago and they didn't hear anything. Took it in to a dealership here at home and they machined the rotors and cleaned the brake pads. The squeal wasn't there until a few blocks after I left the dealership late Friday afternoon.

Anyone else having a squealing problem? It is really quite embarassing to have people stare at your car pulling up at the stop sign -- not because of it being a new Mustang, but because they are staring because of the brakes squealing.

My dealer has machined the rotors once and replaced the pads twice. I was starting to get some minor squeal again when I read something on "bedding in" the brakes. I did that Saturday and the minor squeaking has stopped. Do a search for "Bedding in" or Bedding brakes" and you'll find the thread.

Good luck,

Jason

I did the same on my first outing in the car, and I've never had any squeaks or squeals at all.

It's something I do with all my cars.

I'm at 8000 on my car, and its been squealing for some time now.... Gonna bring it to the dealership I bought it from next time I'm in Louisiana.

It is embarrasing when everyone is checking your car out, then you reach a redlight and squeal like a baby! :bang:

Just wanted to let everyone know who has the squeeky brake problem and doesn't want to do the Bedding in process, mine got fixed by Ford... I took my car in for the second time for diags on the brakes. Finally they called Ford themselves and they said to replace the rear brake pads. They had a new part # and had to order them. Just got them installed today. Took the long way home so I could test the brakes. So far No squeeking.
