What about the 3D Carbon one? Not from the "Boy Racer" kit but from the other kit? Not sure what it is called.

Good find, however not what I'm really looking for... Looks like you'd still have to remove the rear bumper/valance. I just want a simple bolt-on with slats.

You probably mean "STICK" On ! Just a piece to fit on the stock rear bumper under the license plate (not a wrap around) This is what i think Steel town is talking about??I would like that

stick on wouldn't last, I would think bolt on would be the way to go

You got it Boltzman. I don't care how it's attached, tape, glue, screws, lag bolts, or bubblegum. Just something simple... like side louvers. Peel and stick works for me... throw a couple of screws in there for good measures and you're good to go. Now, we just need someone to manufacture it.

I was looking for this awhile back and 05stangkc said we should be able to use the GT500's rear diffuser without it sticking out or looking bad. You might want to take a look into that. I hope that is the case!

We know, just like the spoiler it is there just for looks. I'm sure at high speed they both may do something but most of us will not see that....at least not much

The rear valence on the GT seems flimsy, espcially the entire lower edge between the two exhaust openings. It may not be possible to accomodate a bolt-on or stick-on piece. Replacing the entire rear valence with a CS/GT500 valence may be the best way to go. When i feel how flimsy that lower edge is, i'm really surprised it doesn't flap around at highway speed.

Have you ever tried to remove something stuck on properly with 3m tape???A lot of body kits use 3m tape..If it didn't work ,they wouldn't use it Plus the rear diffuser that we are talking about is so light,it would be a waste to bolt it on IMO...To answer the question about what the rear diffuser does..How many exterior mods are functional.??.Almost none

but to add a thing that looks like a race car diffuser is as bad as a honda with a 2 foot race wing.

A diffuser, in an automotive context, is usually a shaped section of the car underbody which improves the car's aerodynamic properties by enhancing the transition between the high-velocity airflow underneath the car and the much slower freestream airflow of the ambient atmosphere. It works by providing a space for the underbody airflow to decelerate and expand so that the boundary between the car's airflow and "external" airflow is less turbulent, and it also provides a degree of "wake infill" (the wake being a turbulent area of low pressure that is caused by the passage of the vehicle through the air; this can cause pressure drag).
As the air enters towards the front of the car it accelerates and reduces pressure. There is a second suction peak at the transition of the flat bottom and diffuser. The diffuser then eases this "high velocity" air back to normal velocity and also helps fill in the area behind the race car making the whole underbody a more efficient downforce producing device by reducing drag on the car and increasing downforce.
I, personally, would like to have one that is functional with a whole underbody tray. Something like, I think, the Ford GT has. But, I don't think it would be feasable.

Yeah the 3D Carbon one does wrap around but it is a simple job.
