Black Chrome rim damage

Hey guys,

My black chrome 18 kissed a curb recently.
No cracks or anything, but the lip is damaged (chrome is off of it)

Question:
To repair it? I'm going to guess because of the chroming process, that the whole wheel would have to be redone?
Being black chrome, would someone match the colour black
when rechroming?(or is black chrome a static colour) or And cost?

Or just suck it up and purchase a new rim?

Or... leave it....
Just afraid the chrome which flakes now...will eventually come off.

Feedback?

I think you are going to have to suck it up and buy a new rim. Have you ever priced out how much it is to chrome a rim? I have and it was cheaper for me to just go out and buy a new rim.

Sand the area down and spray some tinting spray?

I scarped a very small portion of my past Black Chrome rims (~1/16 - 1/4") . . . I used a black Sharpie. Not perfect, but I also knew I was getting another set of rims so it helped ease my pain until the new rims were purchased.
