big problem with my beloved car :(

Hello,
I have a big problem with my car, is broken.
I'll try to tell you what is wrong but it will be diffcult for me to write about it in english but i must find the solution.

It is a problem with rear axle. There is a big backlash/play on the wheels. It is almost impossible to drive. There is also a big rattle/bump when car run into a pothole and when I try to change the direction and then back to previous direction even on flat, smooth road. People from the shop (some of the european make) told me and showed that rear axle is broken, there is very big backlash(don't know how to call it in english) on the bearings. I saw it personally. It is not the rear stabilizer problem. I have called to the shop which specialize in repairing american cars and they told me that I am twelfth 2005 Mustang owner who call them with this problem. (Here in Poland it is maybe 20 Mustangs at all). They informed me that they will contact to american Ford dealer to find the cause and solution. This problem appears after about 30k km distance covered. I have to remark that here in Poland roads are very rough.

Please tell me, do you know something about this kind of defect?

Czesc Dan,

Tzn dochodzi do stukniecia podczas tzw odprezenia. Typowe objawy luzu.
PS. Widze, ze jestes z San Francisco - piekne miasto bylem tam kilka dni podczas wakacji. W ogole uwielbiam cali.

Thank you

Stanglex-
Try this link. It has most of the manuals in a .pdf format. there is one their also for your rear. Hope this helps.
Is the clunking sound you hear coming from the front or rear when you hit pothole? If from front, there is a TSB on it.

It sounds like the clutch pack problem. It starts out just during slow turns then gets progressively worse. Check this TSB link:

I've already had it done twice (under warranty). Check out the full TSB thread for other possibilities:

Good luck Mój przyjaciel!
