I have a 2006 Mustang GT that is over 1 year old and bought 10/05, having under 36k miles on it. I am a member here since I ordered the car in 5/05. The Mustang Source forum dealer sponsors are AWESOME
4 year/ 100,000 mile Premium Care ($100 Ded.):
Mustang Source sponsor (Chastang's Bayou City Ford) - $1040
www.FordWarrantys.com - $1375 w/ email coupon $180 = $1195
Academny Ford (Consumers Checkbook) - $1230
www.checkbook.org/auto/ExtendedService.cfm
My local dealer first quoted me:
$1760, then said he'd made a mistake as we were about to leave, offering me $1340. He said he'd call me back if he could get it lower.
I called several dealers and haggled, not fun and a waste of time. I did NOT have to haggle with the lowest price here. I just asked and he told me how much over Dealer price they were selling it for. So there are bonuses in being apart of a forum.

Ah, here it is:
Lombard Ford

Kristin Heller at 866-379-7095
Might still be worth a check?
That one quote was from Lombard Ford (www.FordWarrantys.com) and it was $1195 with the promotion code that was sent to me via e-mail after I signed up.
So the dealer sponsor on here was still cheaper and I didn't have to use any code.

Just tossing out a word of caution on extended service plans. I dont know where you are getting yours, however, generally, the extended service plan is not an add on to what a car already has.
If I am reading the original post correctly, this is for a 4 year/100,000 mile extended plan. Normally, for extended plans, this means that you are adding 1 year/64,000 mile warranty to the original 3/36,000 that comes with the car, and if you are one of the ones that got the newer 5/50,000 mile warranty I dont think you are getting anything except perhaps an additional 50,000 mile coverage for the first 4 years.
Again, this is the way extended plans generally work and I dont know how this one is set up, just saying that you should really pay attention to the the wording of the plan before you spend that much money on it just to be sure you are really getting what you intend.

b_btrick,
Correct, this is the plan offered by Ford, I'm not aware of any others. I want to extend our coverage on the car out to 4 years or 100,000 miles and that is what this does. Actually I'm thinking about the 5 years now, thinking that we will drive it less over the next couple of years. Since the car was bought in 5/05 it only came with the 3yr/36k warranty and we've had our share of use of the warranty.
Thanks for adding clarification.
