Unhappy

I've got a little over 2,000 miles and the Check Engine Light came on while driving. Thought it was the gas cap and tried that but nothing. Finally, made it to the dealer and found out that the O-Rings were bad. They are ordering them and will call when they come in. Just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if I should look out for anything else.

OK, I know nothing about engines (and yes I am a woman). I didn't know there were more than one.

An O ring seal is probably used in more than one place in the emissions or fuel system and and could have failed, causing a leak which triggerred emissions code in the computer, thus generating a check engine light. there is another current post on a fuel filter o ring failure. Maybe this is the same problem. More info on where the O ring is located would be helpful in determining failure location.

Thanks for the info. The part is in and I will ask the service rep for details on the problem.

Car is in the shop and I am forced to drive a loaner...Impala (what a downgrade from my pony) until it is fixed. The service rep said that the O-Ring was from the fuel system and they would have to remove the tank and that it was an all day repair. If anyone else has had this problem let me know if there is anything else I should look out for.
