Hello everyone!

Forgive me whilst I vent a little frustration. I called the Evil Robot Lady and once again heard that I am clean and unscheduled. This of course did not sit well with me so I took the opportunity to call my dealership and asked to speak to the sales manager. He told me several things that reallllllly make me wonder. First, I am now 4th on the list (my salesman told me last week that I am 3rd). Second, he said that he will be lucky to get 1 GT a month and that I will MAYBE see mine in June or July. He also said that Ford is requiring that he buy a bunch of Freestars before he will get a GT. What a load of crap! In that same breath he said that I am on the bubble for getting an 05. I asked him that if I get forced into an 06 what sort of time frame am I looking at? He said September or October! GGGGGRRRRR!!!!! Now get this! According to him, Ford won't honor 05 pricing for those that get

Man, total bummer. Reading all these horror stories on this board makes me feel almost guilty because so far (crosses fingers) my order process has gone so smoothly. Have you tried searching nearby dealers? Maybe you can find someone who will at least treat you better...sometimes I think these dealers and salesmen forget that we're the one's doing THEM a favor and not the other way around. Best wishes, hope it gets better

That is for California...it does not apply to everywhere. I'm in Texas and I ordered my GT on 4/01/05 and I got my build date. Search around you can still get an 05.

Yes I have noticed that...because I'm one of those people. My order was submitted to the factory on 3/25/05 and I'm already in Bucked status

I read a post where someone (can't remember who, sorry) theorized that a higher priority might be given to certain colors that will be discontinued for the 2006 MY. So.....you all should have ordered Mineral Grey like me! lol.

Hmmm, don't think that's it.

Basically it all comes down to dealer allocation and lucky timing. A couple people have walked into orders that were made much earlier and cancelled, but the dealer was able to tweak the options to meet customer #2's order and next thing you know they are getting the car in 3 to 6 weeks.

I'm sure it's not true, but it's such a seemingly unpredictable system, that it's fun to make up wild theories and speculations as to why some get their order in a month and others wait 6 months

I'm convinced it's all based on dealer allocation. Just my opinion.
I ordered my GT Vert on 3/16.
He entered the order that night while I waited, and gave me a VOC before I left. (Vehicle Order Confirmation) - I was a priority 10
He told me at that time it would be 10 -12 weeks and there were several orders in front of me.
The following week he calld me with a VIN and Build date! It seems a few of his orders were built early. (there is a great post on F150online that explains how Ford pulls orders... based on allocation, commodities etc....)
I called the ERL on one day and had the "scheduled to be built week of 4/4" message...
The next day I got the "..shipped by convoy carrier" message....
Now I'm just waiting for the call form the dealer!!!

Yes the reason I am getting mine built basically a month from ordering is because my dealer has a good allocation, my unit has a priority of 2 and it is a V6.
