baby seat in the back of a 06 stang?

I would look at this and then decide on a baby seat!

I don't think that should factor into putting a babyseat into the back seat. That scenario could happen to any car similar to the Mustang's size. But one thing it does do, is make us all more conscious when we drive. I know for sure after seeing that, I look in my rear view a lot more often than I used to.

If I can barely fit a ten and 12 year old back there and can definitely not fit two friends back there, I wanna know what miracle is being performed to get babies back there.

Something like that is tradgic , but if the drunk was not in that truck and if she was not there at that time and so on it may never happen, so we never know when or where , judt always be on guard and happy ! no not that sorta happy.

We have fit a rear-facing seat for the 11 month old and a normal front-facing seat for the 4 year old back there (well, in the '05, not the '06). The rear facing seat went behind the passenger seat, and then the passenger has to sit far forward, and mostly upright. Fortunately, my wife doesn't mind that too much. The 4 year old would sit behind me in her forward facing seat. I have to move the seat forward a little bit, but it's still comfortable. She doesn't have much room though (which can be good, because she can't kick the seat that way!).
It's a lot easier to put the seats in the '05/06 than the '66!
I'm really looking forward to moving the 4 year old to a booster seat and the rear-facing seat forward facing. That should be more comfortable for everyone involved. Then we might make some more family trips in the 'stang. We did not buy the Mustang for a family car! However, we did want to make sure that it could be used that way, if needed.

The latches where you attach the seat are so aggrivating! It took me a good ten minutes to get the childseat in for my 10 month old.

Now...un-LATCH-ing takes a bit longer though...because of the small slit to get your fingers in.

This whole issue is exactly why I got rid of my Mustang. (OK that and the tranny needed work.) The thought of taking a baby carrier in and out of that dinky, nearly non-existant back seat every day was too much. Once the kids get into booster seats, it will be a piece of cake. Until then, forget it. Got a 2000 Accord (V6 of course) for the interim.

When the children are under 1 year old, and you have to put the seat in facing the rear, there really is not enough room for the front passenger to sit up front.
Once your baby is od enought to turn the seat to face the front, you can get a front passenger in there and be comfortable, or unless your front passenger is 6 foot tall, then it probably would be a bit tight.

I carry both my 7 month old and 3 1/2 year old in the back. The rear facing seat can make it a little tight. Depends on how tall the person in the passenger seat is. It's not too bad, but we take the Odyssey for the most part for family trips.

Lock all doors and never step outside! If we're not safe in our cars/planes/boats/walking down the street, we should stay indoors, telecommute to work and exist only on meals which can be delivered (by those poor fools who fail to see that the outside world is just one giant death-trap!).

Has anyone put a baby seat in the back of an 05 or 06 stang? We have a 3 day old boy, and it is a tight space back there. We need to get an infant seat ASAP for him, but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. my wife would need to sit in the seat in front of him comforably, otherwise it is the supercrew for all the family outings, and that is just gonna suck!

I'm putting my 2.5yo back there and he loves it. No problem. It's a slight contortion act to get him in there, but once in, he's fine.
Of course, THIS is where he prefers to ride...
