Avoid this dealer
I know a lot has been posted on this topic, but I figured I'd add another to the list.
Board Ford
15265 East Whittier Blvd.
Whittier, CA 90603
I read the "Rizzo" method and decided to give it a shot. Why not, I figured, can't hurt. So I proceeded to ask for price quotes from various dealers via e-mail and told them roughly what I had already been offered by a couple other dealers.
Anyway Board Ford's response was "PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME -- BOARD FORD"
I would avoid them like the plague for the simple fact that they are obviously not interested in the customer or for that matter simple courtesy.
BTW I got several replies from other dealers who were quite pleasant even though they would not match the price I was asking.
Don't you love rude people

you gotta understand , they really don`t care if you buy the car from them.they will sell it if not the price that you wanted but more......
belive me, my dealer was a real jerk, they wanted me to cancell my deal with them so they could mark the car 5k+ over mrsp and sell it . someone would pay for it if they want it bad enough.....

Could have been worse...
At least their reply wasn't "PLEASE DON'T WASTE OUR TIME"
Now THAT would have been rude

Yeah that's true

I just figured I'd let people know. I've gotten so much good info on this board I just can't tell you and wanted to maybe help someone else avoid this type of thing.
I know some of them don't care if they get your business or not (those of course won't get mine) but there are many of them out there that do so why go to the stinkers?
Just my .02 cents for what they're worth
I did the Rizzo dance, and requested quotes from 15 dealerships. I heard back from 11. I emailed one of the ones I did not hear back from, since it was just a few miles from my workplace. Impatient as I am, I also called after sending the email.
The person whom I spoke to wouldn't give me a price by phone, just saying the MSRP and to "come and we would talk." Eventually, she became rude and told me she would not "engage in pricing by phone, because it was a waste of her time." After I hung up, I was mad, and thought to myself "Waste of time to you? Why? Because you wouldn't give me a good price? You prefer me to go to the dealership and waste MY time when you don't give me a good price?"
Ironically, half an hour later, I got an email back from the Fleet Manager. Gave me a very good price. Bought my car from them.
My point is, some salesmen (and/or managers) are jerks. Others are not. Your mileage may vary.
Good luck!

yeah i have delt with rude dealerships too. for anyone living in south florida..avoid world ford in pembroke pines. as soon as i asked about the mark ups they got all offended and were not willing to help me out in the least bit. its fine that they wont budge on it. hey i dont care, im gettin mine for sticker anyway, but they were just very rude about the whole thing. then they have the nerve to call me back and tell me they have 2 GTs coming in off the truck and to call if im interested. so i call back thinkin maybe if i deal with a different salesguy i get somplace. nope, same thing the guy got very hostile when i asked about the mark up. so i nicly told them to have a nice day and good luck sellin them. i just dont see how people can pay so much over for the car. i know the car is amazing, but its just a mustang. there are 8 million of them out there and this one just looks differnt from the rest, but you know there is going to be so many of them on the road in a year or so and the dealers will be practily giving them away.
