Average Allocation
I know this a very generalized question, but does anyone have an idea of what an average dealer's GT allocation would be? I am just talking about the normal American dealership....not one in NYC nor one in BFE.
There is no way of telling without asking. I think they take into consideration sales, size, how long they have been around, region, location and I’m sure there’s more that goes into it. Just ask the dealership how many allocations they get of a v6/gt a week, maybe they will be honest. If not it’s all about trust.
...bump... just wondering if anyone can provide a number? (ie my big dealership had 10 allocations, or my small dealer only gets 1 per month, etc) I'm curious. My dealer says there's 4 ahead of me, how much longer should I expect to wait to get pulled?

Thanks, have never heard that expression before.
Well - a WAG might be 190,000 Mustangs for 05 - divided by 5,000 dealers - equals 38 Mustangs per dealer - divided by 12 months equals 3.2 Mustangs per month per dealer - times 35% GT production equals 1 GT per month per dealer on average. Of course, some dealers will get none and some dealer will get 2 or 3. I'm dealing with a small dealer and he has received 2 GTs so far and mine will be the next one he gets.
Besides sales history I think how fast they sell the ones they get makes a difference also. My dealer said at the rate he's selling them he could possibly get 3x his original allocation. But by the above figure, that make me dealer just under average. Which makes since because he isn't a super dealer. Just a good honest place that sells lots of trucks.
