In some states and most of Canada you HAVE to have the front license plate. I don't understand it myself but it stinks. I have to put a front plate on mine which I am not looking forward to.

I gave my dealer specific instructions when I ordered the car that they would not drill the bumper facia or put the plate bracket on. You're supposed to have it here in WI, but most nice cars leave it off. I've never been stopped for it. Wouldn't care anyways, it looks better with-out it.

When I bought my '93 GT it had been on the lot. I got it home and went to take the front bracket off. The morons at the dealer had just driven 2 screws right into the front bumper (rather than use the lower mounting holes already there). I was so P.O.'d. From that point on, all cars are requested no front bracket or no buy the car.
