Auto Shifter Buzz?

Auto Shifter Buzz?
Thought I would try out here since a search turned up nothing in the warranty section.
I've been trying to track down a buzz that seemed to come from the dash area. It happens sporadically in the morning when the interior is cool and at low RPMs.
I finally traced it down and it's the auto shifter. There is a small amount of play and when I place light pressure on the shifter the buzz will stop.
Has anyone else experienced this? I hate to go to the hassle of taking it to the dealer if it's a simple fix that somebody has already found.
Thanks

It's the trim ring around the shifter. Nothing can be done short of applying some double sided tape which i advise against since if and when it does need to be removed you will most likely break it trying if taped down.

How about sticky tak? Or silly putty?

If you use the double sided tape do not use the Automotive stuff that is black with red backing it sticks really well. Use the household white version it will not be as hard to remove if you need to.
I know mine starts to buzz every now and then and a simple tap with the hand stops it. But i have the Silverhorse Racing Bezel now. But i did the same thing with the stocker

I had to wait until it was cool enough this morning to get the Buzz again but that's exactly the problem.
I will try to make up a small foam ring to insert and take up the play in the button.
It was difficult to locate because it seemed to come from everywhere and anywhere. I thought I heard it in the center dash, my wife thought it was from her side.
Thanks.

I've got what sounds like a similiar "buzzy" type of noise coming from the same area, but I have a stick and it doesn't seem to be coming from the console. At times it sounds like it might be the mirror, but I think I've pressed everything I can reach without affecting it.
It's driving me nuts.

EDIT: Just found the TSB - it indicates 2005 & 2006, so I'm not sure if mine is covered.
It's more of a "buzz" (as described by LBJay) than a rattle.

I think this is it:

After a bit of reading, I think one of my noises is coming from the shift boot. The last time I heard it, I started grabbing it and the noise seemed to go away. It's kind of hard to tell. I'll be doing some more experimenting.
