Oh, I've always wanted a car with heated seats. I love them.

I don't really care if the passengers in my car are comfortable. Actually, I adjust the passenger seat and they have to leave it alone. I fix it so it's even with my seat, and if I see someone reaching to change it, I start yelling like a nut. In the Honda, I had to store my CDs behind the passenger seat. It had to be exactly right to keep the case from falling to the floor. Passengers in the car are temporary, the CDs live there.

I can say, coming from an S2000, the Mustang is huge. While I haven't received my car yet (it was just shipped) I'm amazed by how much space and storage room the car has.

2 cup holders ... I'm in heaven. A place to keep my Latte and a place for my cigarettes.

Oh, a lighter would be nice. I know smoking is bad for you, but I bought a vert and lighting a cigarette while driving 70 mph with the top down is hard, having to use a bic to light it means I need two hands to cup the cigarette. I've never used an ashtray for anything but change, so that doesn't matter.

Oh, the top takes forever to go down. Maybe they could do something to speed it up. I'm comparing it to the Honda and it took me under a minute from the time I decided to put the top down to get it down and start moving again. It's at least 3 or 4 times faster than the Mustang.

Okay, I don't even have one yet and I've come up with suggestions, though none of them are major.

There are two cupholders in the '05 mustang console.

If you look at the rear one (remove your beer first) you'll notice that it has a little tiny tab at the front. Pull up on it and you will remove this.....

Now you have about two more inches depth in your rear cup holder. So you can order a large drink, put it in the rear holder, and it won't bug you as much when you are speed shifting.

The passenger only gets one of those 6 oz. bottles though cause the front holder does not have this option.

........Oh, and I almost forgot. I've got to the phase now where I'm "tuning it out" but does the sound of the turn signal ticker "pee pop, pee pop" bug anyone else? Thinking of putting an extra flasher in it from my 68. Nice and quiet.

How about a Power Trunk Release...All you need to do is source it from the Ford 500!

How 'bout offering the "MY COLOR" dash separate from IUP?
Don't really care for the aluminum treatment that comes with it...

Also- MORE COLORS!!! like someone else already said.

I haven't had any problem with the location of the cupholders and shifting. Most of the cups/cans/bottles that I put in the cupholder are shorter than the cupholder is deep.

I have had the car for 6 months and I don't notice it unless someone mentions it.

I'd like to see a passenger side power seat.

Mazda has a 4 way adjustable steering column that looks exactly like the Mustang column. That would be nice. (you can move it forward and back)

XM or Serius ready radio

Steering Wheel radio controls (like I have in my Explorer)
I second this, Sirius radio and auto dimming mirror with temp and compass!

I would like the seat back to be powered also. For some reason I find it hard to set the seat back into a comfortable position. When I finally find my "sweet spot", I then lose it when I let a passenger out the back seat.

Drivers seat with a memory mode. My girlfriend and I both drive the stang, and are always adjusting the seat trying to get it back were we had it before the other one drove it.
A memory switch like in the cadalaic would be great, no guessing and messing with the seat for 15 minutes.

Everything else is perfect IMO!

Here are my complaints.

1- Power seat back recline on the driver's seat, along with driver's seat memory. I'm taller than most valets, and every time a valet drives my car, I get it back with the seat settings changed. I then spend 5 minutes trying to find my perfect seat setting again.

2- Power passenger seat would be nice.

3- Cabin trunk release.

4- Better looking exhaust tips on the GT. The ones that come from the factory are razor thin. I added the Ford rolled exhaust tips to mine, which improves the car's appearance significantly.

5- Telescoping steering wheel. I would be able to find a much more comfortable driving position if this was offered.

I don't have a problem with the cupholders. Try driving a '99 mustang. My '99 GT had the worst cup holders. Every time I shifted into second or fourth, the drink in the cupholder would be crushed.

Alot of you guys are asking for more power stuff, thats all going to add cost to the car, just remember. Right now the car is a tremendous value, lets keep it that way.

Does the lack of a dead pedal not drive anyone else crazy?

I agree! In 1800 kilometers I'm already planning to add a piece of carpet with velcro or something to prevent wearing the factory carpet in the area where the dead pedal should be.

Power passenger seat w/ lumbar should be a no brainer.

Otherwise the car is fantastic - the best and most enjoyable Mustang or any other new vehicle we've ever owned.

1) Dead pedal - I drive 75 miles to work one way (only once a week). Most of it is in 5th gear
2) Move the brake from beside shifter to floor. Wife has '04 Highlander. It has push on/off - works really nice
3) Locking gas door with interior release
4) Interior trunk release
5) Passenger seat that slides forward when someone is getting in the back

Thanks for the info about the rear cup holder.
