Arrived at the Ramp
#4
You may ask your dealer where their ramp is. Mine was 15 minutes from my dealership, mine arrived at the ramp on a Sunday and I had it on a Monday. 1-2 for you to get it at the most!

Well, typical. Called the dealer and left a message. No response yet. Guess it's safe to assume that if it's been at the ramp since February 27, then it's got to arrive this week.

Any way you look at it, you're doing better than me. My car's ETA was Feb. 5 (Later changed for unknown reasons to Feb.12) It was built Jan. 25. According to Ford it was "shipped by convoy carrier" three weeks ago. Apparently it's a convoy of ox carts because it hasn't been able to navigate the 700 miles from the factory to my house in that time. Talked to customer service yesterday and they finally admitted to me that my car hasn't even left the plant. It is in quarantine for "quality control issues." I find it charming that they keep building other peoples' cars while mine sits on a lot for three weeks waiting to be fixed.

Here's the latest. Since I've yet to hear back from the dealer, I went ahead and spoke to an analyst at the 800 number. The car was dispatched from the Ramp (Newark, NJ), and should be at the dealer in the next day or so! Now, I just need the finance check, which is due in by Saturday the latest.

This is really getting annoying. Yours was built after mine. I was told by the analyst that my car was at the ramp in MI. and they are waiting for rail cars to ship them. How can a car built after mine get shipped first? How bizarre. Unless yours went by truck all the way. That would explain that. Nevermind.

It's best if you don't compare yourself to other people. I have pulled out about half my hair reading signatures of people whose cars were ordered after mine and built after mine but shipped out BEFORE it.

Actually, Ford got my status wrong! Analyst told me on March 1 that the ramp said it was dispatched to the dealer. When I called again yesterday, the analyst confirmed what I was told on March 1, and called the ramp again. Apparently, I was misinfomed on March 1. As of yesterday (March 3) it was still at the ramp! I was then told that it was to go out today (March 4), so the dealer should have it today or tomorrow.
You can't make this stuff up!
