argh, my seat is stuck

I have no idea what the problem is, but my passenger seat is just stuck. I tried sitting in it, lifting the lever and scooting foward but it just wont budge. It's slid all the way back on the rails...should i just take it in to the dealership? Thanks for any input.

My '06 GT was intermittantly getting stuck right before I traded it in. It was not that it wouldn't move on the rails, it was that the lever would move but not always engage to unlock the seat. Sometimes I would have to yank up on it so hard to get it to engage I was afraid I was going to break it. I figured it was only a matter of time before it wasn't going to work at all anymore.

^+1, sounds like the mechanism that releases the seat from it's position isnt disengaging.

If you can't see what's causing the problem, I would take it back to the dealer and let them fix it

They will probably say it was wear and tear related, and not covered under warranty. Did they tell you what the problem was when they told you $300??
