Craig, I have been dealing with Bay Area Ford, they sold me my pickup and I was happy with the deal I got, so I went back to them and ordered my stang Tuesday of last week. So far everything has been on the up and up, they will accept my x-plan, ordered my stang just the way I wanted, and printed me up an order confirmation sheet. The sales guy (David Peavey) did ask me to give him 2 weeks before he would begin to get information n my order, and that seemed fair so I will start bugging him beginning next Tuesday B)

One of the other posters (Texas Flood I think) is having somewhat of a different experience. He is having trouble getting information from his salesman and isnt feeling very confident of whats going on.

Not sure if me being a current customer has anything to do with it, I did buy my truck there and do all my minor service there so who knows /shrug

Thanks Mellow. February seems so far off. Man I can't wait!

Windveil Blue V6 Vert... With Tan Leather Interior for me. Wish I could get a GT but I just bought a house. Can't have two large payments.

I'm hoping being a repeat customer will help. If not I will be looking around. I got a X-plan last time because I was friends with someone working there at the time but she isn't with Ford anymore so I'm just going to have to wheel and deal to get the best offer.

Craig F, I talked to Bay Area today and they still couldn't give me any information on my order. Ordered back in May and don't even have a veh. conf. from them.
P.S. I am a two time repeat customer but bought both others off the lot.
This is my first pre-order. Don't know what to think, but I have a backup plan in place already.

Todd,

Mine is the black GT. See my signature below for the vehicle details.

Ah, you're getting the one that someone else ordered, then decided on a different car?

I asked Terry to let me know when you car comes in so I could drop by and look it over. You'll probably snag it up before anybody gets to lay eyes on it!! B)

Congrats man!! [/b][/quote]
Todd,

I ordered my caron May 17th. it wsathe second one ordered from this dealer. The first one was a V6. I sure hope they didn't give my car to someone else. Thanks for looking out for me.

Bay Area Ford Fans!

I've never pre-ordered before either. With the lease I have, I need to go to Bay Area because I have a Red Carpet Option with them. The Escape has tranny problems that I had fixed once but I'm not convinced that really helped. My friend who convinced me to buy it also had the same problems.

Anyway... I might just walk away from Bay Area if they screw around too much. I know for a fact by just mentioning Lawrence Marshall in Hemstead you can put fear into the heart of any salesman or manager. I did it on the last two fords I bought. Just try it out. Its pretty funny to watch them squirm. One guy actually cussed at me for mentioning them.

I found out there had been 2 black auto GTs ordered, the other buyer backed out and bought something else. There's another person in line for it already, though.

The Ford accesories trailer is supposed to be there as well. Complete details are available on themustangregistry.com. Don't know how to post a link, sorry.

Hate to bump a week old thread, but I just got back from Bay Area Ford. If you have an order with them and aren't getting any answers I would suggest talking to the GM. They *sat* on my order for almost 2 weeks, and only by discussing it with the GM did I get my issue resolved.

Press the issue, ask to see the new car order status sheet and verify your car is on order, dont let them tell you *we dont know anythng yet*.

I have heard that Bay Area, McRee, and Ron Carter are all owned by the same people. I don't know for sure if it's true. The web sites for Bay Area and Ron Carter are very similar, but they could've just used the same designer.
